What is Meditation?Meditation is a way of focusing the mind, to go within yourself into the calm. To find peace, solitude to find inspiration.
There are various forms of meditation, some people prefer guided meditations. Some prefer to simply listening to music and see where there mind takes them. Though others prefer to sit in the quiet.
Meditation is about focusing outside of this reality. A sanctuary, an inner calm. Many people believe that you have to have your eyes closed and so forth to meditate. This is not true, you can be wide awake but focusing on something specific to be in a meditative state. You can meditate whilst washing your windows, or polishing, cleaning the floor. Something that is done slowly and deliberates, focusing on that one action is still in itself a meditation of sorts.
You can sit in a chair, comfortable and relaxed, ensuring you are warm and not too hot. Just sit and focus on your breath with your eyes wide open. Focusing on your breath in and out, slowly shutting the outside world out and focusing on one action. This too is meditation.
